AUDIO MOBIL looks back on 20 years of experience
Thomas Stottan founded AUDIO MOBIL Elektronik GmbH on 3 March 1989 in Salzburg. The small company specialized in customized hifi-equipment and communication electronics in the car. But soon the orientation of AUDIO MOBIL changed: The engineers started researching and developing electronic components for the automotive industry. In 1991, AUDIO MOBIL created a special hifi-system for Jaguar – its first industrial customer. In 1995, the company became A-supplier

As TIER 1 supplier, AUDIO MOBIL supplies automobile manufacturers (OEMs) directly. TIER 2 suppliers on the other hand supply TIER 1 suppliers. supplier of engineering services with release sovereignty for the German automotive industry.
AUDIO MOBIL as system supplier system supplier
The term system service provider is composed of the terms system supplier and service provider. AUDIO MOBIL does not only carry out research and development, the company also produces and supplies the products. The holistic approach is considered very important: AUDIO MOBIL creates intelligent system solutions instead of individual electronic components.
AUDIO MOBIL’s numerous innovations eventually lead to the certification as TIER 1 supplier for Volkswagen AG, AUDI AG, BMW Group, Daimler AG as well as Porsche AG since 2003. The new orientation let the company change from a development and engineering business to a system supplier: AUDIO MOBIL carries out all individual operations from fundamental research and development to production. AUDIO MOBIL is capable of manufacturing from one piece (individual assembly) to lots that are problematic or not profitable for large manufacturers.
To live up to the high expectations of the automotive industry, the AUDIO MOBIL team moved to new premises especially designed for an innovative company in Braunau-Ranshofen in 2007. The premises is designed as a “thinkers’ oasis” amidst nature and thus lays the foundation for the development of innovative electronic components.
