HME: The connection of human, machine and environment
Modern electronic components connect driver, vehicle and infrastructure. This exchange of information is summed up under the term of HME
HME
HME is the abbreviation of human-machine-environment and denotes the connection of the three worlds. In the context “automobile” this means the intelligent cross-linking of driver, vehicle and infrastructure. This connection ensures safe and fast traveling. Wireless transmission modes play an important role: They guarantee a fast data exchange between the different worlds. – human-machine-environment.
The triumph of the internet shows how important cross-linking and mobility have become. Today, the vehicle is also being linked – to the passengers and the environment. Especially V2X communication and HMI
HMI
HMI is the abbreviation of human-machine-interaction. Firstly, this means that the human must be able to easily communicate with and control the machine. Secondly, this means that the machine must react to the user and reply with signals which are easy to understand and process by the user. (human-machine-interaction) play an important role for this cross-linking.
Connection of different systems
HME components must supply interfaces for different systems. The human as a biological system with all senses and emotional features must be able to communicate with the vehicle without any difficulties. Intuitive user interfaces and clever software are needed. Our work is based on the newest scientific data from the AUDIO MOBIL HMI research laboratory
HMI research laboratory
In the scope of the HMI research laboratory, AUDIO MOBIL deals with all aspects of human-machine-interaction. But not only technical aspects are considered: psychological and socio-scientific factors are also taken into account. Experts from various specialist areas cooperate to achieve a holistic understanding of the context “automobile”.. The vehicle must also communicate with different technical systems in the surroundings. UMTS
UMTS
UMTS is the abbreviation of Universal Mobile Telecommunications System and denotes a transmission standard in mobile communications. UMTS allows a high data transfer rate., GSM, WLAN
WLAN
WLAN is the abbreviation of Wireless Local Area Networks., and DVB-T
DVB-T
DVB-T is the abbreviation of Digital Video Broadcasting Terrestrial which denotes the terrestrial distribution of digital signals in the atmosphere. DVB-T is standardized for digital broadcasting in numerous European countries. are only a few of the transmission technologies we work with. Apart from technical preparatory work we also conduct comprehensive benchmark tests.
