Ranshofen/Austria. The new top model of Lamborghini carries again the name of a bull. The newest creation from Italy is called Aventador LP 700-4- a supersports car, which blasts all dimensions known so far. This applies for the extraordinary design as well as for his unique technique. The sports car is Lamborghini in its' purest form: innovative, highly emotional and absolutely uncompromisingly. The powerful and efficient V12-engine, the complex carbon fiber monocoque, and the extreme light and high-tensile CFRP stands for a technological step ahead. The muscular Aventador LB 700-4 impresses by his excellent performance.

And this technological step ahead has an effect on a further field. In terms of entertainment Lamborghini uses the innovative technologies from AUDIO MOBIL. The Aventador LP 700-4 has a sound system, which got designed in cooperation with the engineers of Lamborghini, which sets with its outstanding music power a benchmark in the market. The "High-End Lamborghini Sound System - LSS" with four premium speakers (two woofers, and two tweeters) in neodym-technology, as well as 2 x 135 watt plus 2 x 70 watt amplifier performance (410 W RMS) is for sure a novelty.
The reason: „Fewer components are easier to be handled from the acoustical point of view. Consequentially this leads to a natural characteristic of the sound", according to Thomas Stottan, managing director AUDIO MOBIL. Even at 300 kmh the passenger can enjoy a manifold and powerful sound.
The applied High-Power-Lightweight-System (HPL) of AUDIO MOBIL is not only characterized by its high quality of sound and imposing performance roll-out. Moreover the overall system weighs 42 percent less than conventional systems in a comparable range and needs 54 percent less in space. Especially for sports cars this represents an important factor, as in this vehicle category weight and needed space play a decisive role.
The reduction of weight is supported by a simplified wire-harness as well as a digital amplifier, which only weighs 720 grams. "In the development we focused on a combination of innovative technique and new materials", states Thomas Stottan, managing director of AUDIO MOBIL. The HPL of AUDO MOBIL is a completely conceptionized package solution starting from the amplifier, over the wire harness, up to the speakers. The result: small, light, and extremely efficient.
But not only had the technique a decisive role, also the adjustment of the sound system, which got exactly tailored to the characteristic of the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4. "As for a valuable musical instrument, the fine-tuning got carried-out acoustically, and not electronically", says Thomas Stottan. This guarantees a puristical and extremely powerful sound experience.
„But the competence of the overall vehicle acoustic is in the hands of Lamborghini", says Thomas Stottan. "Lamorghini is the conductor - the engineers of AUDIO MOBIL are the musicians." Because nobody knows the overall context of his car better than the automotive manufacturer himself. Therefore it is just justified, that the high-quality sound system is named with the traditional label of Lamborghini.
Rear View Camera from AUDIO MOBIL - minimized space, maximum performance
But AUDIO MOBIL is not just responsible for the entertainment. Also the compact rear view camera got developed in cooperation with Lamborghini. She is discreetly positioned in the top part of the rear bumper; directly below the Lamborghini lettering. The rear view camera offers a first class view, which hasn't been a matter of course so far.
The reason: Many sports cars, especially the mid-engine ones, only offer a limited direct rear-view; an absolute deficit for reverse parking. The usage of a camera system has failed so far, as a proper installation space hasn't been available. With a positioning too far on the top, the optic is effectively disturbed under certain conditions. Is the camera situated on the lower part of the bumper, she is exposed to the direct sphere of influence of hot exhaust emissions. Just for such applications standard cameras are not designed for.
AUDIO MOBIL developed especially for the sports car manufacturer Lamborghini a completely new camera technique, which even allows the usage in high-temperature areas. The system is applicable for ambient air temperatures of up to 140 degrees. The temperature of the camera itself however stays below 85 degrees. Responsible for that are active cooling elements - situated around the lens -, which bring the temperature to a level, where a safe operation of the sensitive camera optic and electronic is guaranteed at any circumstances.
Additional distinctive feature: The UV-resistant system is vibration and shock proof, and furthermore resistant against chemicals, dirt, and splash water. Moreover is the lens of the camera self-cleaning and therefore delivers accurate pictures at any time. Thanks to the high luminous sensitivity of 0,5 lux a save reverse parking is guaranteed. The angle of view is 131 degrees in horizontal, and 96 degrees in vertical direction. The system gets steered with a separate camera control unit (CCU). The CCU monitors the temperature and regulates the cooling system. Size of the rear view camera: 146 x 89 x 56 millimetre.
With the Aventador LP 700-4 Lamborghini has consequently turned the weight spiral. Thanks to new materials and technologies the sports supercar sets new standards in his segment.
