Automotive industry projects of AUDIO MOBIL Electronics

AUDIO MOBIL regularly works on ambitious projects in cooperation with customers and research institutes. Innovative insights from AUDIO MOBIL research (e.g. AUDIO MOBIL HMI HMI
HMI is the abbreviation of human-machine-interaction. Firstly, this means that the human must be able to easily communicate with and control the machine. Secondly, this means that the machine must react to the user and reply with signals which are easy to understand and process by the user.
research laboratory) are considered in the project phases and are rounded off with the creative technical ideas of AUDIO MOBIL's engineers.

Transmission routes

top

AUDIO MOBIL scientifically dealt with different terrestrial and satellite-based transmission routes (GSM, DVB-T, GPS etc.) as early as 1998. Components such as antennas, transmitters, energy supply devices etc. had been taken for granted until this time, but had not been considered in the context of the automobile. AUDIO MOBIL works on the integrability of these parts and tests them under real-life conditions.

Rear Seat Entertainment with 12'' monitors

top

AUDIO MOBIL's rear seat entertainment (RSE) offers the biggest automotive display (12'') currently available on the market. Especially PC and internet applications benefit from the great amount of space on the TFT monitor. For best visibility and legibility, the monitor is equipped with an intelligent dimming function that compensates reflections and strong light incidence.

Acoustic Control Element

top

The acoustic control element is an electronic part allowing voice control in the vehicle. It is adjusted specifically to the voice of one person (the driver) and thus guarantees utmost safety. In combination with the intelligent microphone which curbs background noises and is able to recognize speech even if the ambient noises are four times louder, the acoustic control element is a high-performance input channel in the vehicle.

Tactile Sensors

top

In 1998, AUDIO MOBIL first started researching tactile sensors. Tactile sensors are responsible for all information transmitted by the sense of touch. AUDIO MOBIL investigates control elements, how they are to be designed and arranged in the cockpit so that the driver can reach them easily and operate them intuitively. The design of form and surface and how they stimulate the sense of touch is among the main contents of research. Renowned automobile manufacturers have let AUDIO MOBIL's insights influence their products.

DVB-T in the vehicle

top

In 2000, AUDIO MOBIL managed to operate DVB-T in real-life conditions in the vehicle. AUDIO MOBIL was the first company to succeed in this and thus opened a new chapter of in-vehicle TV transmission.

AUDIO MOBIL Traffic Management

top

Traffic volume is steadily increasing whilst the infrastructure capacities stay the same - based on this prediction AUDIO MOBIL developed a traffic management system that guarantees the future of mobility. Instead of offering yet another isolated solution, AUDIO MOBIL links existing systems and vehicles with the AUDIO MOBIL traffic management. The innovation is a powerful electronic component which transmits vehicle data to a clearing house system clearing house system
The term clearing house system denotes a system for collecting and anonymizing real-time data (FCD).
where the data is anonymized and processed. The result: Traffic is controlled optimally with the help of real-time data real-time data
Real-time data is data which is processed immediately. Unlike statistical data, real-time data shows momentary values which change dynamically. This data is also called Floating Car Data (FCD) or Extended Floating Car Data (XFCD).
(FCD) which includes road conditions as well as traffic volume. Traffic lights are also controlled based on the computed data. Traffic signs and overhead signs are also adjusted to the real-time data. The advantages for the vehicle driver are clear: Enormous time and money savings and steadily flowing traffic. Nonetheless, the AUDIO MOBIL traffic management is cost-efficient and can be seen as a win-win situation for all parties involved.

Rear-view camera

top

Temperatures especially in the rear section of the vehicle close to the exhaust pipe pose a threat to many electronic parts. A problem for many rear-view cameras, but not for AUDIO MOBIL: With a rear-view camera designed particularly for the conditions at the rear of the car. The camera is compactly constructed and thus fully utilizes the available space. Thanks to an electronic cooling system, the camera functions even at high temperatures.
