32 years of AUDIO MOBIL
AUDIO MOBIL Elektronik GmbH turns 32 and looks back on years full of innovations, projects and know-how.
On March 3, 1989, Thomas Stottan founded AUDIO MOBIL in Salzburg. In addition to high-end Audi systems, C-network telephones including fax machines were already installed under automotive requirements as a contractual partner of the Austrian postal service - thus a forerunner of the networked vehicle.
In 1999, the company headquarters were relocated from Salzburg to the discreetly located town of Ranshofen due to increased demands for secrecy.
In 2007, in addition to a redesigned facility with optimized routes between laboratories, test facilities and production, a hermetically shielded test track was built to meet the OEMs' confidentiality requirements. ISO TS 16949 was also introduced.
AUDIO MOBIL is regarded as an innovative development partner for renowned customers in the automotive industry and has already celebrated its 25th and 30th anniversary in Ranshofen.
