4th HMI test of AUDIO MOBIL on the in-house test site

From June 28 to July 15, 2016, the fourth HMI test from the well-known test series will take place on the cordoned-off test site of AUDIO MOBIL under the supervision of the University of Salzburg. Over the past few weeks, a total of 36 test subjects have been sought to take part in the extensive testing. The calls in social media, on the homepage and in local newspapers were successful and the required number of test drivers could be found in the necessary gender-specific mix.

The focus of the planned series of tests is on the topic of "vehicle networking". Infotainment systems from three current luxury class vehicles - models from BMW, Volvo and Mercedes Benz are being tested - are available for this purpose. With the help of the tasks carried out by the test drivers, specific applications and their Internet capability are to be tested for user-friendliness and possible distraction risks.

It will be interesting to see the results - all the more so as they will be compared with the data from previous test series, making it easy to see whether the user-friendliness of infotainment systems in modern vehicles has improved further compared to previous years.

Curious about the results? Our media partner is AutoBild Deutschland, one of the most widely read media in the segment, where reporting is given a prominent place. You will find the publication date of the issue here in the coming weeks.
