AUDIO MOBIL expands its Ranshofen site

AUDIO MOBIL Elektronik GmbH is investing in the Ranshofen site. From January 2022, an extension of 1,000^m2 will allow for an expansion of the testing and validation area, investments in product quality and development as well as an increase in production.  

Ranshofen. The ground-breaking ceremony for the expansion of the AUDIO MOBIL site took place on May 3, 2021. The automotive supplier is focusing its investments on testing and validation processes, product quality, development and production. With the extension, the company is also ensuring that it can work independently of environmental influences.

In addition to the standardized test site for the standard-compliant evaluation of the distraction potential and operating safety of functionalities in the vehicle in accordance with ÖNORM V 5090, further validation tests can be offered in the future.

AUDIO MOBIL has been a specialist in in-vehicle display and operating systems with a focus on infotainment for decades. In addition to the engineering services already known, the expansion of the company means that further products can be offered in small and very small quantities in accordance with the IATF 16949 quality standard, etc. The focus here is on the rapid implementation of technologies from outside the industry in accordance with automotive standards as well as series adaptations.

The expansion of operations during the pandemic not only testifies to success in the automotive industry, but also to the willingness to invest in optimizing operational processes and the site as such. Additional jobs are created in the area of development.

The extension is scheduled to go into operation in January 2022.
