Near-field audio study on the AUDIO MOBIL test site

AUDIO MOBIL investigated the benefits of near-field audio systems in vehicles with the University of Salzburg

On October 14 and 15, 2015, a scientific study to research future vehicle concepts was carried out at the AUDIO MOBIL test site in collaboration with the University of Salzburg. In the run-up to the event, interested participants were sought in the region via press advertisements to take part in the two-hour test. The response to the call for participation in the study was enormous - once again, AUDIO MOBIL would like to thank all participants and all those interested who could not be selected due to the limited number of participants.

During the study, four people were asked to solve various predefined tasks together in a moving car. Various acoustic support systems were used, the potential of which was assessed by the scientists using questionnaires and a final interview. The study data is currently being analyzed at the University of Salzburg. What can already be reported is that the new audio system used was rated above average. We can look forward to the detailed results - after all, it is precisely such innovations and technologies that are needed to make the future of mobility safer, especially in the context of the envisaged partially or fully autonomous mobility.
