Standard test procedure according to ÖNORM V 5090 at AUDIO MOBIL

On June 1, 2018, the Austrian Standards Institute launched a new standard for vehicle operating safety: The exact title is: "Road vehicles - Test method for visual driver distraction caused by interaction with driver information and assistance systems (TICS) in the vehicle".

This ÖNORM provides a test method for measuring and evaluating the visual distraction of a driver from the driving task through interaction with a driver information and assistance system (TICS) in the vehicle. This ÖNORM refers to the interaction of a driver with a function of the TICS while driving on a test track. The ÖNORM also specifies limit values that a TICS must fulfill in order to meet the requirements of this ÖNORM. The procedure is used to test vehicles classified as M1 and N1 (in accordance with § 3, KFG 1967).

AUDIO MOBIL has a test track defined in this standard at its location in Ranshofen and offers such accredited test procedures. The addressees are automotive manufacturers (OEM), automotive suppliers (TIER1, TIER2), authorities and other institutions.
